Black Swan
I really didn't need another critter to get me excited about our trip, but I guess it doesn't hurt. This little guy is a black swan. They breed in the southern parts of Australia. Like other swans, the Black Swan is largely monogamous, pairing for life (about 6% divorce rate). I love the red bill, it stands out so much more against the black feathers than the white feathers.
